A guide for the host

How a printable adventure works.

The pages bring the puzzles. You bring the players, a printer, and a little enthusiasm.

Three simple stages

Choose. Prepare. Play.

01

Choose your game

Browse the themes and purchase the digital download on Etsy. Nothing is shipped to your door.

02

Read the host guide

Download the files, keep host-only answers separate, and print the pages marked for players. Follow the setup in your chosen kit.

03

Start the story

Read the introduction and hand over the puzzles. The kids solve clues together while you can offer hints if they get stuck.

Inside a real game

Magical Sleigh Hunt

The Christmas kit is a good example. It has a 13-page player document with instructions, an opening story, ten puzzles, and a final answer grid. Separate host files hold the hints, completed solution, and story ending.

Players follow the story from one North Pole location to the next. Each answer matters again at the end, when the group uncovers where Santa left his sleigh.

Good to know

Questions before you start?

Is this a physical escape room kit?

No. These are digital downloads that you print. Each listing explains what is included and how to set up that particular game.

Do I need locks or special props?

The Magical Sleigh Hunt example can be played with the printed pages and a pencil. You can add a small prize at the end if you like. Check the Etsy listing for any game-specific setup.

What if players get stuck?

The Christmas example includes a separate host-only hints file. Read one hint at a time so players still get the satisfaction of solving the puzzle.

Can younger children play?

Magical Sleigh Hunt is aimed at roughly ages 7–12 and up. Younger children can join an older teammate or get help from the host. Check the age guidance for the game you choose.
